How to Clone a Task

A ‘Task’ is a recurring job generally, though not exclusively, linked to health and safety and usually falling within planned preventative maintenance or safety checks.

Before creating a task you should add all of the locations and assets that you will be creating tasks for. For example, add all the vehicles as assets if you are creating a vehicle check.

Cloning is essentially taking a copy of a task that has previously been created and adjusting some minor details to make it appropriate for use in another area. The purpose is to avoid repeating pieces of work which have already been completed.

Click the yellow + in top right-hand corner, select ‘Add Task'.

Select ‘Clone another task’.

You will then be able to view all of your existing tasks.

If there are a number of tasks in the system you can search by the name if you know it, location or asset to which it associated by completing the details at the top of the pop-up screen.

Find the task you wish to clone and select ‘Clone’.

From the following screen you can unselect details you do not wish to include in the new cloned task.
