Manage Role Permissions
From the Admin tab select Manage Role Permissions.

This governs the level of access and functionality within the system by role. The roles are pre-set into 5 main headings, as detailed below.

Admin – Has everything pre-set. No need to add into a Permission Group as this role has access to everything on the site. This access should only be allocated to a limited number of fully trusted individuals.

Manager – You are able to determine these permissions yourself by clicking on each of the left-hand listed tabs and checking the appropriate permission.

User – You are able to determine these permissions yourself by clicking on each of the left-hand listed tabs and checking the appropriate permission.

Collaborator – Pre-set permissions that only enables the user to create and edit accidents and incidents. They do not contribute to your user limit and cannot be added into a Permission Group.

Custom – A one off role for either another group of users e.g. A user with unique requirements. (This is deliberately blank and not able to be edited as you must create a Permission Group to add the user into. For example, the CEO of a company may only want to access specific parts of the site and none of the other roles are suitable.

What do the tabs mean?

The tabs list reflects the various modules of the system. Click on the tab e.g. Tasks and select the level of access required for each of the options on the list.

It is advisable to fully complete each role before moving on to the next.

General Permissions

In managing the general permission of a role think carefully about how far reaching you want access to go, and what each item means, e.g.

Manage System – This gives the user permission to edit locked tasks.

Manage Users – This gives the user permission to edit users, their role and also delete users.

View All Locations in The System – This allows the user to also view locations they’re not assigned to.
